The Flight of the Butterflies

A springtime glow from the outside, in.

“There are so many things that remind of us spring—pastel colors, blossoming flowers, blue skies. After months of winter and impatiently waiting for the seasons to change, there are certain hints that let us know spring days are around the corner. For me, this was the butterfly. A butterfly represents a transformation, a change—we really focused on bringing these springtime elements throughout the design in terms of pops of bright butterflies, pastel colors in our Something Vintage glassware and flatware, inspiring custom-designed chargers from Mozaiko, and natural wood elements with the tie-dyed farm table from Honeywood Rentals. Mixing the natural elements with the hairpin chairs was an unexpected design piece that gave a modern feel to the overall look of the space. In the blank canvas of a white room that highlights beautiful architectural design, we didn’t want to take away from the venue, but rather enhance it with complimentary details. From the delicate Bhldn gown and draped lace cape, to the incredible cherry blossoms that are in peak season only a very few weeks per year, not a detail was spared in bringing this springtime glow from the outside, in.” – Elizabeth McConeghey at Elizabeth M Photography
