“This shoot has been a dream of mine for quite some time, and I am so happy it came together the way it did. I wanted to highlight the biggest trend I’m seeing—the old money vibe. Social media is getting flooded with images that showcase this European and James Bond-esque feeling to them. People are shifting away from the boho pampas grass and barn weddings to welcome in this new theme. I wanted to set up a shoot that fit the trend but would also be as timeless as possible. One thing I love about Citizens Ballroom is how gorgeous the space is on its own. While you can get away with adding a ton of extra decorations and elements, the bones of this old bank turned new wedding venue is gorgeous enough as a backdrop. The clean white marble and totally unique bank vault was so much fun to work with and helped to create a very timeless backdrop. For our dress, we chose a very simple and affordable dress from the wonderful ladies at Love It at Stella’s. The couple who modeled will be getting married in Baltimore later this year, and the rest of our amazing vendors are small businesses who we were so honored to work with, most of them being local to Frederick.” – Madeline Serio
