“We wanted to plan an edgy, chill, inspirational shoot during our wedding ‘off-season’ to FUEL some creativity. We wanted to forge the path ahead to try new ideas, push the status quo with community over competition, and design table settings, ceremony backdrops and tiny details that we, as photographers, haven’t planned since our own weddings. Erin and I spent our afternoons thrifting, antiquing, and DIY-ing all different pieces for the shoot. Then our friendors rolled in and brought their A-game to hype this thing up even better than we imagined. This shoot combines big floral installations of dyed baby’s breath, edgy gold hair clips, a to-die-for velvet mustard couch, textured cobblestone, and greenhouse backdrops, and a palette of mauve, gold, and black in a table setting I’d lounge in all night. It was important to us from the get-go that every vendor involved had creative freedom to design in ways that lit their fires and benefited their own portfolios. And man, what they came up with was offbeat and beautiful!” – Victoria Selman
