Room and Board

Here are four tableaux for uniquely personal table-setting designs.

This originally ran in the 2011 issue of Baltimore Bride.

Most brides-to-be are collectors: They rip images out of magazines, snip fabric from bolts, save old postcards, and treasure a grandmother’s brooch. All together, these items represent the muse around which a wedding will be created. In keeping with this idea, we asked four local design teams to first create a bulletin board and then the room—at the American Visionary Art Museum—that it would inspire.

Designed and styled by Kate Beck Events

“The inspiration for my table was a mixed-media painting of an artichoke heart. I love the greens and purples and the abstract elements of the piece.”
