Say It With Love

Bright moody spring I do’s.

“The inspiration for this styled wedding was to incorporate as much bold, moody, contrast-y colors and texture with a little pop of brightness here and there. I wanted to create a wedding that wasn’t matchy-matchy, even though those weddings with every little detail coordinated and choreographed are gorgeous, it honestly just doesn’t always feel like real life and comes across a little stiff. Weddings should be fun and should show off personality. This styled wedding is everything that I dream of for my business’s brand and aesthetic. I worked with a group of incredible vendors who took my loosely put-together vision and brought it to life. The Flower Shop KI created a bouquet that had dark and moody tones but with so many different styles of flowers, it had a huge element of texture. (I even separated and dried the bouquet and it makes for a beautiful delicate piece to I am still using as décor.) Pretty Little Wedding Co. created a tablescape with black and white geometric patterns, simple goblets, and gold and black dipped silverware on top of Honeywood Farm Table Rentals gorgeous wooden table with the white dipped legs and geometric metal chairs. Your Adventure Designs created the menu, invitation suite, and place cards in gold with a white background and smoky burnt (actually burnt!) edges. Annapolis Bridal dressed our bride Ashley in a simple white lace gown, a feminine pale pink gown for the maid of honor, Alexa, and the groom, Nolie, and best man, Frank, in deep blues and grays with hints of maroon. Their looks were pulled together by Maskcara Faces by Chelsea and Pins and Curls Hair Artistry. So, not only was this a romantic set-up for a faux wedding, the best man model reached out to me a week or so prior to the date and asked if he could use the end of our styled wedding as the proposal to his girlfriend (the maid of honor model.) The bride and groom are her brother and sister-in-law, so it was already a family affair and who better to have as witness to your proposal than your best friends? Of course, it went absolutely perfectly, and our mock wedding ended with a real-life engagement!” – Sara Thomas, Willow Roots Photography
