This Is Not a Still Life

“It feels like a huge understatement to say many of us have been craving a creative stretch and embracing fun after this past year. The concept for this shoot, “This is Not a Still Life,” was meant to capture a play on words—that while we would be creating still life scenes, this shoot was about fun, play, movement, and color. This is not a boring life. Getting the opportunity to photograph at Baltimore’s new Prop Up Shop, from Limonata Creative, meant access to tons of gorgeous tabletop props, backdrops and more that allowed us to play with color and light in fun ways. That playful movement meant getting to create little videos and stop motion gifs, all of it helping to embrace every little in-between moment.
