The Love Boat

“Amelia and Parker’s story is as sweet as they come. High school lovebirds, these two started dating after Parker attended the summer theater production Amelia puts on each year. They were introduced through mutual friends and after the show went on the first of many dates to their favorite pizza spot. After high school, they attended the same college where Amelia studied to be a teacher and Parker majored in sports management. When dreaming of the future, Amelia and Parker always shared a vision of their own property complete with a pond, a dock, and a canoe. Parker has childhood memories of fishing and picnics on his grandfather’s pond and Amelia’s father owns a beautiful property in upstate NY with a barn and pond; it’s safe to say this engagement shoot planned itself. I teamed up with Rachel Kendall Events to find the perfect location complete with a gorgeous white canoe from Chesapeake Light Craft and a romantic picnic spot right next to the pond. Amelia and Parker wanted a canoe engagement shoot but wanted to keep the style elegant and romantic rather than rustic so we chose to focus on a soft color palette of light blues, pinks, and whites. Emma from Steelcut Flower Co. beautifully decorated the canoe with a gorgeous arrangement of pink and white garden roses and ranunculus, and Jess from White Coffee Lettering designed their save-the-date cards to match their engagement shoot. Jess even painted an adorable paddle to celebrate the grand adventure that is soon to come. What we couldn’t anticipate was just how beautiful of an evening we would have for their shoot.
