After a Halloween proposal, where Hannah Chiccone, dressed as the Utz Girl, said “yes” to Jon Walker as Mr. Boh, Hannah began the business of searching for the ever-elusive perfect venue. “I was running out of hope when I came across the 2640 Space,” says Hannah. “It was absolutely stunning, like a real-life Hogwarts. It’s a blank canvas and is completely DIY, but it allows you to have creative freedom.” Hannah and Jon wanted a rustic winter wedding that felt both formal and bohemian with fancy china, a pizza bar, and pinecones picked from Jon’s parents’ farm. “While the theme was winter, the vision was much larger,” says Jon. “Every sign or décor item had hints of our lives, interests, humor, and hometown.” That included the ceremony presided over by their good friend Eric Willis, a well-known local tattoo artist. “We have a tight-knit group of friends,” says Hannah, “So it was nice to have him officiate, because he knew almost every guest at the wedding, adding another layer of genuine love and emotion to our ceremony.” Though Hannah had planned every detail, she hired a day-of planner to keep their sanity in check. “I couldn’t imagine spending my time worrying about anything other than Kim Kardashian ugly-crying at the altar on my wedding day,” she says. She also let go of her fears about inclement weather, even when an icy snow started accumulating the morning of their wedding. “I started to get ready, and the crystals began to fall,” says Hannah. “I sat and watched the city transform into a whimsical snow globe, and all of my worries faded away. I was no longer preoccupied about the weather, the cold, or anything else for that matter. Our love, our friends, and our family would keep us warm—and pizza. Pizza would keep us warm, too.”
