How You Met Ali & Patrick met through a mutual friend in February of 2019 at an Annapolis bar called Harvest. The two schemed to sneak one last round of beers out of the bar after last call. Ali had the idea. Patrick had the coat pockets. They had an instant friendship. Almost a year later, Ali & Patrick ran into each other one night at a bar in Downtown Annapolis named Federal House. Ali was sitting at the bar when Patrick walked in. They locked eyes from across the dance floor and Patrick made his way over to Ali. Romantically and suavely, he approached her and said, “what’s up?” They talked and laughed and danced all night. They walked home together and sang Sweet Child O’ Mine in the streets of Murray Hill. Little did they know what the next five years held for them.

The Engagement Patrick proposed to Ali in Clearwater Beach, Florida on February 23, 2024. It’s only fitting they got married on the beach as well.
Wedding Design Inspiration Patrick and his late mother used to volunteer at Chesapeake Bay Foundation, so the couple knew immediately that was the venue for them. They used family heirlooms (conch shells, dolphin figures, duck figurines, and sailboats) as decor to embrace the coastal vibe and to honor family members.
What Was Unique and Special About Your Wedding Day Our wedding was on the beach, which was unique. We had private vows before the official ceremony in a secluded area by the water, which made the day very special. We also had a private dinner on the top floor balcony overlooking the water, which gave us a special moment to slow down and embrace the day halfway through the event.

Favorite Details: Our signature drinks (The Captain Sullivan and The Queen Alexandra). Our custom napkins with our beloved kitty pictured on them. We received the most compliments on our band. We took dance lessons and spent hours practicing our routine for our first dance. We had a memory table dedicated to Patrick’s late mother.
Most Unexpected Event On Your Wedding Day There was a parakeet flying around the venue during our first dance and the Best Man’s wife caught the parakeet with her bare hands.
Piece of Advice You don’t have to stick to all the traditions and follow the typical wedding formula; it’s your day so set it up however you want to! We had private vows, a private dinner, no assigned seating for dinner, we skipped the bouquet toss, and Ali walked herself down the aisle.
