How You Met: We met at a party in college. We like to joke that a glance across a beer pong table was the start of it all.

The Engagement Zach planned a trip out to Sonoma for my birthday. As wine lovers it was a trip we had talked about for awhile so we were both so excited. On the first full day of the trip at the end of a wine tasting Zach popped the question amide the gorgeous wine country background. Truly a trip to remember.
Wedding Design Inspiration I wouldn’t necessarily say we had a true design for the wedding more a feel we were going for. We both have so many amazing memories surrounding family gatherings and meals together. We wanted our wedding to feel like an elevated dinner party, as if we had invited all of our favorite people to sit at one table. That feeling coupled with a fall wedding date led to us truly embracing the colors of the season.

What Was Unique and Special About Your Wedding Day Some of our favorite moments about the day were just spending time together. We chose to have a first look along with private vows. We also chose to spend 30 minutes together after the ceremony just us. We popped a bottle, had some apps, and got to fully embrace those first moments as newlyweds. Also, having our dog Zeke there. He is such a big part of our life and it was so special to have him there (and let out a few barks during the ceremony).
Favorite Details For seating assignments/favors we chose to customize different colored and shaped sunglasses for everyone. It ended up being a massive hit on the dance floor. We are also big coffee lovers so we decided to hire a coffee cart to come after dinner and it was such a fun touch to the night. Zach’s Aunt Molly officiating our wedding. Having someone who has seen our relationship from the very beginning and who means so much to us marry us just meant the world.

Most Unexpected Event On Your Wedding Day Amanda had asked her parents if they wanted to give a short “welcome to the wedding” speech. Her dad ended up giving one of the most heartfelt toasts. I don’t think there was a single dry eye in the room.
Piece of Advice The most important thing about your wedding day is that it’s yours. Forget the noise of other people, of social media, and truly just plan the day for the two of you.
