How You Met We met at a Friendsgiving in Richmond, Virginia
The Engagement We live in Brooklyn, so we took the metro north train to Cold Spring, New York for the day. We got engaged during a picnic next to the Hudson River.
Wedding Design Inspiration We got married at our family friend’s beautiful home and flower farm—we were inspired by the landscape around her home and her floral designs.
What Was Unique and Special About Your Wedding Day No one had ever thrown a wedding at our “venue,” so it took a lot of planning and DIY spirit to make it all come together.
Favorite Details We had a lot of friends and family contribute to our day—the cake was made by Kyle’s Aunt Andrea and the flowers were done by Sarah (the homeowner, who also grew all of the flowers herself!).
Most Unexpected Event On Your Wedding Day All of Kyle’s friends changed into shirts with Kyle’s face on it during the reception.
Piece of Advice Get a day of coordinator- we would have been lost without the professional advice and help along the way. She made our day run so smoothly- we could hardly be stressed.
