How You Met Sean and I met through Bumble, an online dating site, in September 2020
The Engagement On June 1, 2020, Sean and I got engaged in Paris, France on the Pont des Arts bridge (with the Eiffel Tower twinkling in the background)
Wedding Design Inspiration Sean and I both grew up near the ocean (Sean in New Jersey and me in California), so we wanted our wedding design theme to be near water, nature-inspired with some summer romance elements. We wanted to be married outside near the bay and be surrounded by summer flowers and lots of greenery.
What Was Unique and Special About Your Wedding Day The priest giving a special blessing over our new blended family (Sean’s two sons, Liam and Gavin; and my daughter, Caleigh.)
Favorite Details Having my niece, Aurielle Mitchell, sing the song “Best Part” by H.E.R. and Daniel Caesar, while I walked down the aisle; having my 9-year-old daughter, Caleigh, walk me down the aisle; and having our “first-look” occur when I was walking down the aisle.
Most Unexpected Event On Your Wedding Day Although it was July, we were not expecting it to be the hottest day in the summer. It was over 100 degrees at the 5 p.m. start time of the wedding.
