How Sweet It Is

The ice pop goes gourmet.

No offense to the all-mighty wedding cake, but sometimes we want a different sweet ending. The frozen pop and its sassy friend, the poptail—a fruit-based ice pop used as the sweetener in a champagne cocktail—have become more and more common at receptions. For a more traditional ice pop, Krystal Mack, creator of local dessert vendor KarmaPop, typically creates two flavors per wedding. “A bride’s pop and a groom’s pop,” she says. “That’s pretty fun.”
