How You Met Growing up, our families attended the same church, the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation. We aren’t quite sure when we technically first met, but we both remember noticing each other during Greek School, probably around the sixth grade. Chris says he had a crush on the tall blonde girl who stuck out from every other kid in class, and Angela was charmed by the cute, funny twin. A few years later, in 2008, we started talking at a GOYA youth group basketball tournament and have been together ever since.

The Engagement Christopher proposed on October 10th, 2020, on the rooftop deck of our home. Angela thought he was out golfing and decided to go to happy hour with one of her best friends. When she got home, Christopher said he had to show her something on the deck and got down on one knee, while a photographer caught the moment from the neighbor’s rooftop. Our closest family and friends were hiding in the basement and quickly decorated the house for a surprise engagement party.

Wedding Design Inspiration Timeless, classic, understated elegance. We were inspired by the detail and drama of the venue and wanted to brighten the historic charm of the ballroom without taking away from its beauty.

What Was Unique and Special About Your Wedding Day Getting married at the same place where our love story first started, by a priest who has known us both for most of our lives, was very meaningful.

Favorite Details We recycled the monogram from our wedding invitations as a detail throughout the design.

Most Unexpected Event On Your Wedding Day Our guests loved the Greek dancing! Everyone was on the dance floor joining in the fun and clapping along.

Piece of Advice Take a mini-moon!! Having a few days to unwind from the whirlwind of wedding weekend was one of the best decisions we made. Without having to pack or travel for a full honeymoon immediately after the wedding, we were able to re-live all our favorite moments and enjoy the first few days of married life.
