How We Met Joe and I grew up in the same town and had known each other for years before becoming close friends in high school. We shared the same friend group and spent countless hours together. After college, we both realized our feelings had grown into something more, and the rest is history.
The Engagement Joe proposed in December on the waterfront in Georgetown, making for the most intimate and special moment. DC has always been one of our favorite places to explore, dine, and take long walks, so it couldn’t have been more perfect. Afterward, we celebrated with our families at an incredible Italian restaurant in Georgetown, making the night even more memorable.
Wedding Design Inspiration Timeless and elegant, drawing major inspiration from Sofia Richie’s stunning wedding. We both love white roses and made them a key design element throughout the wedding to create a classic and romantic atmosphere.

What Made Our Wedding Day Special We chose to write our own vows and share them during the ceremony, making for one of the most emotional and heartfelt moments of the day. My uncle, whom we are both incredibly close to, officiated the ceremony, delivered a deeply personal speech that left hardly a dry eye in the house.
Music was another special element, we wanted it to feel unique and meaningful. My friend Jonathan, a talented cellist, helped curate the ceremony and cocktail hour music, blending modern songs with a Bridgerton-inspired twist. His quartet’s performance was such a hit.
Favorite Details Joe and I meticulously handpicked every single song for the reception. It may sound a little crazy, but we’re passionate about music, and our friends love to dance so we wanted the perfect soundtrack for the night. The dance floor stayed packed the entire time, just as we hoped.
I had a major fashion moment when I changed into my Galia Lahav after-party dress. I adore fashion and finding that dream dress for a steal on Poshmark was one of my best fashion finds. It was truly so exciting to see my vision come to life.

Most Unexpected Moment The weather! Leading up to the wedding, it had poured during every major event: our engagement party, bridal shower, you name it. We had fully prepared for another rainy day, but to our surprise, the skies cleared, and we were blessed with a perfect 75-degree, sun-filled day.
One of the most touching surprises was a book of letters I received from my bridesmaids, family, close friends, and Joe. It was completely unexpected and such a beautiful, heartfelt gesture that I will cherish forever.
Piece of Advice If you can, have someone close to you officiate your wedding. It makes the ceremony so much more personal, heartfelt, and unforgettable.
