How You Met Accidentally on TikTok. Sam was in Kentucky, Lo in Baltimore. Sam slid into Lo’s DM’s, and they never stopped talking. Six months after they met, Sam moved in with Lo in Baltimore.
The Engagement: NONE! Sam announced they were ready to get married one evening when they were getting into bed in March 2024. Lo countered with a request to schedule a formal meeting to discuss the particulars at Fadensonnen over a glass of wine. Within two weeks, we had a wedding date for signing the paperwork with our local friends in our backyard in June 2024, and Lo had already booked Current Space for the big wedding in October of 2025. We weren’t sure our wedding would be legal or even possible by October of 2025, so making sure we signed the paperwork long before we danced with our friends was very important to us.

Wedding Design Inspiration Rainbows, pride, and community. We wanted everyone’s photo or even glance through the crowd to be a BRIGHT and colorful experience.
What Was Unique and Special About Your Wedding Day We formatted it as a duel; we marched in from either side to enter, and at the end, we took ten paces and turned around to say “I do!”
- We threw away all gendered roles and expectations and created an even and equal experience. Our family and friends shared toasts at our arrival party, so we were the only ones on the mic (other than Kevin, the emcee).
- We opted not to have a wedding party, but to ask everyone to dress in spectacular, bright colors from head to toe.
- We hosted a photo blitz line, where friends and family lined up after the ceremony to take photos with us to ensure EVERYONE got to say hi, take a photo with us, and be featured in our wedding album

Favorite Details Full rainbow decor handmade by Lo, serving cold brew with oat milk and lavender syrup during arrival (Lo loves Sam as much as they love coffee, which is a LOT).
Most Unexpected Event On Your Wedding Day How good our “voluntold” emcee was! It was just our friend Kevin. He was hilarious and welcoming and did everything perfectly to keep the party flowing.
Piece of Advice Lock in contracts as early as possible to get best prices. Sam was hesitant to sign for so many things in 2024, but as we watched prices rise over the next 18 months, they knew it was the best choice.
