We spoke with Katey Clark, of Katey Clark Creative, who designed and planned this bridal shower at the Eagle’s Nest Country Club in Phoenix.

The bride-to-be is a lover of all things fresh, tasteful, and naturally beautiful. When the idea of a farmers market-inspired bridal shower was presented, we knew it was the perfect fit. With an incredible vendor team, we brought an elevated, fully curated market experience to life.

Vegetables and fruit on tablescapes were becoming popular, so we really wanted to focus on some elements that we hadn’t seen as much, including tomatoes, asparagus, and artichokes.

Our goal was for guests to feel as though they were strolling through their favorite local market. We incorporated locally sourced products throughout—from the floral tablescapes to the accent pillows. One vendor at the market had drinks; one bread to take home; the other charcuterie and food; and, of course, the most popular, the embroidery vendor.

Set against the lush greens of the golf course, we wanted to embrace a fresh palette while keeping things unexpected. We knew we needed something that popped—enter orange. The canopy had been green all along, but a few weeks before the shower, we decided to switch it to orange and it was the best decision.

Before the celebration even began, each guest had been contacted to pre-select an item—from chic tote bags to beach towels. What they didn’t know was their chosen item would be custom embroidered on-site during the shower. Every detail was designed to feel like a trip to the prettiest market in town, complete with interactive, beautifully styled market stands that made the day as fun as it was unforgettable.
