How You Met We met in Salisbury nine years ago at a bar called Mojo’s, which is a fitting combination of our names. We began hanging out regularly and we both moved to Baltimore later that year.
The Engagement Joe proposed at the Fells Point waterfront after dinner at Tagliata. We headed to a surprise engagement party afterwards at Hersh’s, one of our favorite restaurants, with all our friends and family waiting.
Wedding Design Inspiration We went for a warm and quirky boho vibe that matches the way we’ve decorated our home.
What Was Unique and Special About Your Wedding Day We really wanted the celebration to reflect us as a couple, so we used large bookshelves filled with our favorite things and photos as decor, served bar food inspired appetizers and dinner, and created specific playlists for both the cocktail hour and reception.
Favorite Details A Natty Boh wall for guests to grab a beer as they entered and sat down for the ceremony, custom matchbooks designed by Molly as favors, home brews available at the bar brewed by Joe’s dad with custom labels (Hoppily Ever After IPA and For Richer or Porter)
Most Unexpected Event On Your Wedding Day Our wedding was pushed back a full year due to COVID-19, which was totally unexpected at the time. We were just thankful to be able to reschedule all of our vendors and for the day to happen when it did.
Piece of Advice Don’t be afraid to break normal wedding traditions to create the celebration you want.
