How You Met We met in high school.

The Engagement Mitchell proposed when we were on a trip in Yosemite National Park. We were hiking Lower Yosemite Falls with two of our friends and when we got to the top of the hike, Mitchell asked me to marry him. I was completely surprised, and our friends were in on it the whole time.

Wedding Design Inspiration We wanted a simple and elegant design. We gave full design control to our wedding planner Marcie Lennock—she is amazing—and made our vision come to life.

What Was Unique and Special About Your Wedding Day We went from planning for a 100-person wedding to a very small, family-only wedding due to COVID. This was the most amazing day for us, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Favorite Details Everyone at the wedding gave a speech during dinner. Since the event was so small, it was very personal and meaningful to us.

Most Unexpected Event On Your Wedding Day My uncles, who were not there due to the reduced guest list, had an airplane fly over our farm pulling a banner congratulating us. It was so unexpected, and everyone loved it.

Piece of Advice When you are planning your wedding, make sure to plan for you and your partner and don’t worry too much about what your guests will/will not like. Enjoy the day, it really goes so fast.
