How You Met We met at the Waterfront Hotel on a night out in Fells Point in December 2019.

The Engagemen: We got engaged along the scenic Howth Cliff Path in Howth, Ireland just outside of Dublin. We were on a trip to visit Irish relatives with both of our families along for the trip.
Wedding Design Inspiration Since we got married on New Year’s Eve, we wanted the look and feel to match the occasion. We were heavily inspired by the architecture of the Pendry and the elegance the space provided on its own. We leaned into the gold tones; specifically champagne gold associated with the holiday and chose a complimentary patinaed bronze color range for the bridesmaid dresses.

What Was Unique and Special About Your Wedding Day We were really excited to be able to have our wedding venue be directly across the street from the bar where we first met. For our first date we had drinks at the waterfront right next to the Pendry too. For our first Valentine’s Day Randi painted a watercolor of the Fell’s Point waterfront to commemorate. We were able to use this watercolor in our invitations and matchbox party favors.
Favorite Details We incorporated our names into the Waterfront Hotel logo (where we met) for some of our signage and welcome bags. Randi, her mom and aunt made fringe lamp center pieces as a nod to New Year’s Eve. There were also swan and bird bath details sprinkled throughout bringing a romantic outdoor touch to the historically detailed space tying back to the historic cobblestone waterfront surrounding the Pendry.

Most Unexpected Event On Your Wedding Day The most unexpected thing about our wedding day was the beautiful clear blue sky day we had. Since late December in Maryland can be hard to predict, we were so thrilled to be able to take some amazing outdoor photos on Thames Street where it all began for us.
Piece of Advice Sometimes in the planning process it’s easy to fall down the Pinterest rabbit hole. While sifting through the endless possibilities was definitely part of the process, we really wanted the day to feel authentic to us. We always made decisions by what tied back to our story and the feeling we wanted guests to have being part of it on our big night. This really helped in the decisions making process and gave us confidence in how the evening would turn out.
