Something Old, Something New

A new spin on classic wedding shots takes time but is always worth it.

How to add a fashion-forward flair to your photographs.

Establish a mood board.
Pinterest and Instagram are great resources, but try to look at movies and fashion magazines that match the aesthetic you’re going for if you want something unique.

Creative photos take time.
These are not candid photographs that happen naturally; they are specifically directed moments that take more than a couple minutes to execute. I’d recommend telling your planner and photographer you want photos like these so you can adjust your timeline accordingly.

Collaborate.
Schedule a call with your photographer so both of you can really discuss your vision in depth. Our goal is not just achieving your vision, but creating something better than what you could imagine.

Share your details.
Sending over a quick snap of your outfits, accessories, and other details ahead of time will give your photographer more time to think outside the box versus quickly working on the fly during the wedding day.

Be open-minded.
Sometimes the wildest concepts, the ones that leave you wondering what your photographer is thinking, become the most iconic images of the day. I really encourage both you and your partner to be open to getting a little weird, even if it feels uncomfortable.
